Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

When you create an account we store your name, email address, and the answers you submit in practice questions and mock exams. We also collect basic usage analytics (which topics you study, scores over time) so we can show you your progress and weak spots. If you send us feedback, we also store your device type and operating system.

2. How we use it

Your data is used to run Capstone Coach: grading your answers and tracking your readiness. We also use limited information to measure our own advertising, as set out in section 5. We never sell your information to third parties.

3. Payments

The one-time $99 access fee is processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Stripe collects your card details and email address and handles them under its own privacy policy. We receive a confirmation of payment and the email address you used, but we do not store your card details on our servers.

So we can tell which ad or link led to a purchase, we also pass Stripe some technical details with your checkout, such as your IP address, browser type, Meta's cookie IDs and the page or ad you came from.

4. Your rights

You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account at any time by contacting support@thecapstonecoach.com.

5. Cookies and advertising

We use essential cookies and similar browser storage to keep you logged in and to remember a purchase that is in progress. If you arrive from an ad or tracked link, we also save its details in your browser so a later purchase can be credited to it.

We also use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta (Facebook and Instagram), on our website and app. It sets cookies and records actions such as visiting a page, starting checkout and completing a purchase, so we can measure and improve our ads on Meta. When you buy, we may also send Meta the details of that purchase from our server: the amount, the page you bought from, your IP address, browser type, Meta's cookie IDs, and your email address, account ID and country in a hashed (scrambled) form, so it can be matched to our ads. Meta handles this information under its own privacy policy. Meta, Stripe and our app hosting provider (Base44, which stores your account and practice data) are based overseas, so your information may be stored or processed outside Australia, including in the United States.

You can change the ads you see from Meta in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences, and you can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, although this does not affect purchase details sent from our server. Essential cookies are needed for you to stay logged in.
